Risk versus asset development
Mundo Minerals has a clearly established goal of developing an asset base within five years that will provide a sustainable and profitable production profile of in excess of 200,000 ounces of gold per annum, with a resource base approaching 3.5 million ounces.
In order to achieve this, Mundo has a pipeline of assets developing at different stages through exploration, project assessment and production. The risk profile of these projects reduces the closer they are to production.
Substantial progress was made towards advancing this project pipeline during 2008, with asset development expected to be further enhanced during 2009.
While the achievement of Mundo Minerals’ corporate objectives depends on a range of factors including continued exploration success and the application of economic parameters to each project, the Company is confident that the current asset portfolio can support its corporate strategy.
Our vision is to achieve in excess of 200,000 ounces per annum of sustainable gold production from our first three assets, building to an annualized production base of +400,000oz pa in the medium term.
