Safety and Community Relations
Safety remains the highest priority in all aspects of Mundo Mineral’s operations and the Company allocates considerable time and resources towards maintaining the highest possible safety standards at its sites in Brazil and Peru.
Mundo Minerals has developed an excellent safety culture at all of its projects. Regular safety courses are held with the Mundo team and all “housekeeping” matters at each site are maintained to the highest standards.
Mundo Minerals employees are empowered to ensure that all activities are undertaken with safety considerations being given the highest possible priority; this strong commitment to safety has been reflected in work efficiencies, morale and workplace operating standards.
Community Relations – Engenho Gold Project
Community relationships are well developed with Mundo Minerals’ being a respected corporate identity within the region where the Engenho Gold Project is located. Mundo Minerals, together with other gold producers, recently contributed to the development of a community medical centre.
The Company has also sponsored a variety of cultural events, assisted with book purchases in schools, provided Christmas presents to children from low income families and is sponsoring soccer and volleyball clinics.
Commendably, all community-based activities have a high level of active support from Mundo Minerals personnel.
